After doing extensive research into all types of tattoo removal available, I chose to have my treatment carried out by Oxford Skin Clinics as the treatment was proven to be successful and it was far less intrusive than other techniques, not to mention far more economical.

After just my first treatment, which was far less painful than expected, there was a huge change. My tattoo had faded considerably and some areas were barely visible. I've now just had my third treatment and my tattoo is continuing to fade so I'm very pleased with the results.

The treatment itself is quick and carried out in a relaxed,friendly environment which helps ease the situation. I have been very strict with myself concerning aftercare which is easy to follow but vital to do properly to obtain the best results and now I can't wait to see the improvement again after this treatment! I would definitely recommend this treatment.

Sorrel's Removal

Before first treatment May 2008: I had this tattoo for over twenty years on my chest and decided to get it removed by non-laser treatment

After third treatment November 2008: A lot of the tattoo had been removed and the skin with the colour removed was well on its way to healing.

After five treatments April 2009: the skin is now healing and even though it is quite red it is nowhere near being the tattoo it originally was.

David is a paramedic in Oxfordshire and ex Royal Navy Search and Rescue Aircrew (and a serving reservist). He had a typical forces dagger put on 35 years ago.

After hearing about us on BBC radio he felt our process was worth further investigation as he was becoming increasingly self conscious about how unsuitable his tattoo's were for a man of his position and age.

Dave says "I found this to be less prohibitive than laser in cost,pain and potential for scaring. The medical theory was sound and the hygiene regimes put my professional concerns at ease"

David is very happy with the results so far and intends to have his other tattoo's removed in the same way. A number of his colleagues are monitoring his progress with a view to being treated them selves.

After seeing the article in The Metro and being put off by laser treatment I was intrigued to find out more about the Oxford Skin Clinics tattoo removal method.

Once I had met Stuart I was reassured that they could help me remove my 15 year old tattoo and importantly that the treatment area was clean and hygienic. After the consultation a small test patch was performed, this was useful as it put my mind at rest that the treatment was less painful than having a tattoo applied.

I had my first full treatment just over two months ago and am very impressed with the results, the tattoo is considerably lighter than before. Despite me being a builder and working in dirty conditions I managed to follow the after care instructions and have no scarring.

I have just had my second treatment and could literally see the ink coming out there and then. I suppose the best illustration of what I think of the process is to say that I have already booked my next appointment.
